At Chuckles Chickens, we take great pride in producing quality hatching eggs from carefully selected breeding stock. Every egg is collected, stored and packed with the utmost care to give it the best possible chance of hatching.

As hatching eggs are a fragile and perishable product, there are many factors outside our control once they leave our property. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

Egg Quality

Our breeding birds are selected for their health, temperament, fertility and productivity. Every egg is:

• Collected fresh from our breeding pens.
• Carefully inspected before packing.
• Clean and free from significant defects.
• Stored under appropriate conditions prior to dispatch.
• Packed securely using specialised packaging designed to minimise the risk of damage during transit.

Whilst we take every precaution, minor shell imperfections, natural colour variations and differences in egg size are normal and do not affect hatchability.

Fertility

We continually monitor the fertility of our breeding pens throughout the season.

However, fertility can naturally fluctuate due to factors including:

• Seasonal changes
• Weather conditions
• Bird age
• Moulting
• Natural breeding behaviour

For this reason, we cannot guarantee fertility or hatch rates.

Hatch Rates

Successful incubation depends on many factors beyond the quality of the egg, including:

• Postal handling
• Storage after delivery
• Incubator accuracy
• Temperature and humidity management
• Turning procedures
• Power interruptions
• Biosecurity
• Incubation experience

Because these factors are outside our control, we are unable to guarantee hatch rates or offer refunds for eggs that do not hatch.

Shipping

All eggs are packed using protective packaging to maximise their chances of arriving safely.

Although breakages are uncommon, postal services can occasionally handle parcels roughly this is out of our control however we do our best shipping in express egg safe boxes with bubble wrap and extra packaging to ensure their safety as best we can. 

Resting Eggs

For the best possible hatch results, we strongly recommend allowing your eggs to rest for 12–24 hours with the pointed end facing downward before placing them into the incubator.

This allows the air cell to stabilise after transport.

No Returns

Due to the perishable nature of hatching eggs, we cannot accept returns or exchanges.

Order Cancellations

Orders cancelled prior to dispatch may be refunded, less any applicable payment processing fees.

Once eggs have been packed or shipped, cancellations are no longer possible.

Biosecurity

The health of our flock is our highest priority.

Should an unforeseen biosecurity issue arise that may affect the quality of your order, we reserve the right to delay shipping until we are confident the eggs meet our standards. If this occurs, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your options.
